Zippo

I've always been intrigued by things that stand the test of time. One thing i have personally known to do so is a Classic Zippo Lighter. Built in the 1930's especially for the US Military and armed forces, for they needed to smoke their pot in extreme conditions. hehe. Well It was made wind proof.

I got my first zippo about 2 years ago, A classic silver Buffed Piece. The Archies Gallery I got it from ripped me off though. Sold it to me for 1200 Rupees which actually costs around 700. Ahh well I was happy with it. filling it with fluid and using it as a style statement. Cigarettes felt totally different when lit up with a piece of classic history like the Zippo.

Well Now i have about 5 with 2 more on their way from Amazon.com, they have become a passion, an addiction and a desire to want more and more Zippos of different types.

My Latest addition to my collection is The Bio Hazard Design Matte Black Zippo.

I'll Write again soon.

Cheers.

Diwali!!!! The Festival of Lights....

Ahhh one of my favorite time of the year!!! Diwali, the day we celebrate when good made evil go back to where it came from. The Festival of lights, as its called, every one's in a happy mood, enjoying themselves, indulging in life for once.

Fire works all around in the sky, diyas decorating every part of the house, electric lights going bling bling on each and every house I see, every one is so happy, welcoming Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity into their homes... I feel really happy at this time, well because, i get a day or two off from work... as well as nice nice mithais and sweets to gobble up, as well as getting time to spend with my loved ones, family, friends, and who ever u like, you wish Happy Diwali, without any feeling of do i know this person? Kind of gets the ego barriers down, and gets the warmth of friendliness on top on every ones head.

Having the Puja finished in the evening praising Gods and Goddesses for their "Kripa" on our lovely lives is like almost a monotonous ritual for some, and for some its a very very religiously strict part of Diwali. All in all once its done, you're free to now get out of ur house and start with you fireworks, The Rockets, The Multi Star Fire Works, The Ear Drum Bursting Bombs just being a small part of it all.

Decorating your house is like a competition between the neighbours, the more lights you have, the bigger your chest swells with pride, "My house is the brightest" I would hear some of the people say, and I'd say... Are you welcoming Goddess Lakshmi or telling her to go out through your pocket when the Electricity Bill Comes... (in my head only though). Just kidding, its not like we decorate our houses like this lots of times in a year, just this once, everyones forgets about everything and gets in their top gear to beautify their house.

Well I had a pretty eventful Diwali, The first Sparkler I burnt in many years this time. FUN, and then had a nice time with friends in the evening....

Only Downside of this festival is the enormous amount of Air Pollution that generates during just one night which i guess takes its toll seriously on the climate for at least a week, though all the mosquitoes die as well... hurrraaaaaahhh.... he he...

Well I leave you with some nice pictures...

My new babe

Well not much to report from the last few days from my life, the dance class has been going on pretty nicely and the second class was just as hectic as the first one, otherwise, nothing new.

Yesterday, went on a little shopping spree, regular stuff but, i found some thing i wanted since a long time, a Lava Lamp, Its like a babe seriously, when i look at it in the night, no other light ruining its glory, its as if, just amazing. the way the blobs move up and down, join and break up from each other, its like a whole universe inside it.

The Danceworx

My First Funk Jazz Class... Ahh BLOODY TOUGH, well I tried my best to keep up, and i guess could keep up to a certain extent but pheww!!! it was very very demanding i must say. Don't get me wrong, it was a very enjoyable 2 and a half hour long class. but it was surely something i hadn't expected to be so tough, My bad... Actually i guessed... It'd be tough but not on the very first class!!

Well, after the class, I met up with Kartik, we went to the Village Cafe had a wonderful Grape Hukka and some hot chocolate and something to munch on, since i was like a starving little Indian kid they show in those National Geographic Documentaries, The Face of India The people portray to the world really!!! ahh well back to the topic, it was a short hour in thee cafe and all in all very enjoyable Sunday.

Well believe it or not, even after the tiring experience of yesterday, I am very very much looking forward to next Sunday, and not to forget my practice sessions in the evening by myself. We're gonna be performing on Justin Timberlake's Like I love you in the end of this 2 month long Workshop. Exciting isn't it!!!

Ayt, got to get to work now!!

The Moon so Close

The Moon on the 25th of October 2007 was told to us general public will be the closest to The Earth it has been in the last 17 Years, I took this chance to try and take some close up pictures using My Sony H2, and its supposedly amazing Optical zoom. Well, with its 12x Zoom and 6MP Picture resolution its the closest I could get to the satellite. I do like the outcome, though i wish i had some extended zoom lenses for my cam to get a more closer look.

The Morning with it brought another nice eye pleaser, cloudy sky telling me the winter might be here soon, The Sun it seemed was a ball of fire floating in the clouds try to play hide n seek, though failing miserably. Shone marvelously. Loved both these pics.

Well not much to say right now, its like 5.25 am and I haven't had a wink of sleep as yet, have my first Jazz Dance Class Today about 11 hours later, so i guess I should get some rest, hehe...

U can see the larger version of the pics by clicking on them.

Ayt, Cheers...
